S.L. Wimsatt writes epic fantasy, urban fantasy, and poetry. With her active imagination, love of obscure mythology, folk tales, culture, and a passion for old dictionaries, she brings fresh narratives to nearly forgotten lore. Her passion for dragons, vampires, werewolves, and magical origin stories is brought to light through her innovative storytelling.

In her spare time, she enjoys walking the trails around the lake and immersing herself in the creativity of fellow fantasy authors. Formally of California, she now resides in Southwest Missouri with her husband, three children, and two Havanese dogs.

S.L. Wimsatt is a student at Southern New Hampshire University pursuing a degree in English and Creative Writing.  Her expected graduation is Summer of 2025. Additionally, she plans to attend UCLA Extension and become Certified in Editing and Publishing, to be started Spring of 2024.
